Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Patient Services Supervisor, the Clinical Liaison will be responsible for the following:
Job Functions/Duties
- Adhere to and assist in the implementation of all Business Office procedures.
- Rotate on a monthly basis to all departmental stations including Front Desk, Medical Records, and Phones.
- Greet clients at the reception area and during telephone conversations to ensure a welcoming, pleasant and professional response to all clients and interoffice relations.
- Front desk reception, including patient check-in, scheduling of patients appointments, and making preliminary assessments of clients in order to ensure appropriate client services.
- Record all collections of client payments or co-pays for services rendered, and assure accurate monetary transactions, daily balancing and reconciliation sheets.
- Maintenance of all daily and monthly schedules for medical, mental health and social services personnel.
- Check client's eligibility status with insurance carrier including completing Medi-Cal reservations for care (TARs).
- Assist in the maintenance of the medical records filing system, including routing charts to providers, accurate record-tracking, filing medical records, loose-sheet sorting and filing.
- Process record requests for outside entities in a timely manner while adhering to confidentiality practices and procedures.
- Clinic phone coverage, including scheduling and canceling appointments, placing appointment reminder calls, and providing general information about services offered.
- Train and work with clerical volunteers as needed.
- Perform daily administrative functions as assigned, such as word processing, general communications (voice, written and electronic).
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings including internal staff trainings as needed.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications & Experience
- One to two years of healthcare office experience preferred.
- Able to work flexible hours including Saturdays and Evenings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, detail and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work as a team member in a high-client volume environment.
- Typing speed of forty-five (45) wpm.
- Knowledgeable in computer software, with the ability to work: word processing, spreadsheets, Internet, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse races, ethnicities, ages, and sexual orientations in a multicultural environment.
- Strong Customer Service Skills required.

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, or RN Supervisor, and Clinical Pharmacist (Pharm.D.), the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)Medication Adherence Counselor provides ongoing patient adherence education and follow-up, and maintains the treatment adherence program clinical information system.
Job Functions/Duties
- Under the direction of the Pharm.D., provide ongoing treatment adherence education to patients.
- Follow-up on treatment adherence activities.
- Maintain the clinical information system for the treatment adherence program.
- Collaborate with medical and other healthcare providers to plan, organize, and direct treatment adherence activities including referral to other medical and mental health services.
- Assist with treatment-based research activities.
- Maintain clear communication with team members (i.e., primary care provider, medical assistants, and Pharm.D.) regarding treatment adherence issues.
- Assist with continuous improvement of total quality care as it relates to nursing and treatment adherence.
- Maintain complete and accurate files on all clients and document services provided.
- Maintain clear and concise progress notes, problem lists, and mediation lists.
- Prepare reports as required and submit in a timely manner.
- Under RN supervision, provide general nursing care, as prescribed and within the scope of the license, to patients including, but not limited to.
- Measuring vital signs, EKGs, etc.
- Distributing oral medications.
- Administering injections, treatments and other medical procedures.
- Participate in staff meetings, planning meetings and other meetings as needed.
- Attend employer-sponsored in-services as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications & Experience
- HIV/AIDS healthcare and/or treatment adherence experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of infectious diseases and state/federal reporting requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong organizational, detail and interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills and knowledge including word processing, database operations, spreadsheets, and other software systems.

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Practice Manager, the Medical Billing Manager oversees billing and collection for all pharmacy sales, clinic and mental health services. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest quality service levels in customer service, pro-active follow-up with funding sources, timely initiation of authorizations, and invoicing. Interdepartmental cooperation and divisional reporting are additional requirements of this position.
Job Functions/Duties
- Ensure the timely billings and collection of revenue for pharmacy, clinic and mental health services.
- Ensure that all exceptions to regular pharmacy claims are billed correctly, tracked and completed in a timely manner.
- Supervise staff assigned to billing and collections.
- Respond to patients and/or insurance companies identify account problems and/or issue complaints for resolution.
- Provide regular reports to Practice Manager; Director, Health and Mental Health Services (HMHS); Controller; Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other managers as requested.
- Develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures for billing and collection in conjunction with Practice Manager, Director, HMHS, CFO and other managers as needed.
- Train all unit personnel in existing and new posting guidelines, billing regulations, collection procedures, and good customer service techniques.
- Maintain an understanding of current state-of-the-art procedures in medical practice billing
- Develop and implement continuing training programs for staff members covering such topics as insurance billing procedures, and appropriate use of current CPT and ICD-9 codes.
- Evaluate accounts to determine the patient's ability to pay, or the appropriateness of a write-off, according to LAGLC policies.
- To ensure quality service, complete and follow up with all Prior Authorization forms to PMDC and for Medical TARS.
- Perform collection activities, collect fees and post payments received from clients at time of services.
- Monitor patient's demographic and financial profiles to ensure its accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 3 years billing experience in a medical and/or pharmacy setting handling claims to Medi-Cal, private insurance and, preferably, AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) billing.
- Working knowledge of medical coding, billing, and collections including CPT-4 and ICD-9CM coding.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret all third party bulletins regarding all new billing and collection guidelines for federal, state, and county.
- Working knowledge of microcomputer and software applications including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and medical billing systems such as Medical Manager and QS1.
- Ability to plan, initiate, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments; work independently to complete assignments despite competing requirements and deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and address issues and information with tact and sensitivity.

Job Summary
As scheduled, will provide technical support for theatrical performances and other special events and the Village at Ed Gould Plaza.
Job Functions/Duties
- Set-up and break down audio/visual equipment, props, and scenery, including hang and focus of theatrical lighting.
- Operate lighting and audio/visual equipment for theatrical performances, concerts and other special events.
- Follow security procedures with particularly with respect to safety, equipment, and access.
- Monitor condition of equipment and supplies, and report any problems or needs to manager of Village operations.
- Participate in staff meetings, special events and other activities as requested.
Job Qualifications & Experience
- Solid background in theatrical events, specifically relating to live theatre and special events for spaces ranging from small (49-seat) to medium (225-seat) houses.
- Full, complete working knowledge of light boards, stage lighting, and sound equipment for theatre, and be able to professionally and responsibly operate this type of equipment.
- Familiarity with running a show technically without a stage manager, and should be familiar with running and teaching a show without a stage manager calling cues. S/he should be comfortable running a show after 1-2 technical rehearsals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal and organizational skills are necessary and an ability to interact appropriately with visiting as well as on site technicians, theatrical producers, film operators and artists.

Job Functions/Duties
- Ensure that the grounds and facilities are safe and secure for staff and clients.
- Patrol the grounds and parking lot at regular intervals.
- Escort unruly people off the property and call for police assistance when needed and appropriate.
- Monitor security systems, panic buttons and fire alarm systems.
- Ensure proper closing and securing of the facility and the surrounding grounds.
- Make sure no one remains in the building (check bathrooms and group rooms, as well as departments) after closing.
- Check and lock all doors, parking lots & drive ways, turn off fans, lights, and all-day use equipment, activate alarm systems and secure building.
- Complete daily shift change, incident reports or other paper work, as directed, reporting all security activity, as well as read previous entries and memos to security.
Job Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 1 year work experience as a security guard.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to deal with unruly people in a firm and non-antagonizing manner.
- Availability to work a rotating shift and weekend as scheduled.
