The purpose of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Cultural Arts Program is to serve the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communityand beyondby presenting exciting, empowering, and inspirational bodies of work. Through theater, music, and artendeavors that we believe are vital to the human spiritour community can come together, understand each other's lives, and celebrate the complex vitality of our experience. Net proceeds from all Cultural Arts Program events are used to support the entire range of Gay & Lesbian Center services. The Cultural Arts Program is located at The Village at Ed Gould Plazathe Gay & Lesbian Center's state-of-the-art educational, cultural and social center. The Village is home to two theaters which showcase Cultural Arts productions: the Renberg Theatre and the Davidson/Valentini Theater. The Advocate Gallery, also located at The Village, exhibits works of both well-known and up-and-coming artists.
