The California AIDS Clearinghouse is designed to reduce the spread of HIV infection by providing appropriate and sensitive technical assistance, educational materials and support services to the California Department of Health Services Office of AIDS Education and Prevention Programs and HIV Counseling and Testing Programs throughout the state. The program develops and distributes HIV/AIDS educational material and maintains a resource center to provide technical assistance and training sessions in material development and health communications. The California AIDS Clearinghouse targets approximately 1,000 California Department of Health Services grantees, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), AIDS Services Organizations (ASOs) and health care providers.
